Thelaraan the Gardener: NPC, Wood Elf. As a priest of Solonor Thelandira, the Seldarine god whose portfolio includes guarding the boundaries between civilization and the wilds, Thelaraan maintains the welcome garden where visitors to the Temple of the Seldarine in Waterdeep are first greeted. It is a place of life, nourishment, and beauty where guests may shelter while awaiting admission to the inner spaces of the Temple. Thelaraan also has close ties with the followers of Rillifane Rallathil, the Elven god of Nature. He enthusiastically embraces, and experiments with, the tension between skillfully guided cultivation and untrammeled wilderness. He grows wonderful fruit and stunning flowers.
Kaylin “The Chisel” Holbrook: We have met her before but she deserves another mention. At the least, to remind us that she had a name and an identity other then informer and victim of the Zhentarim. Poor Kaylin…
Beltin Snobeedle: NPC, Halfling. The prosperous and flustered son of the Snobeedle family, he is, to put it kindly, not at his best when our company first meets him. It is a time of uncertainty and strangeness at the Meadery and Beltin’s response to adversity is…not terribly admirable. Still, he carries more of a burden than Elodie first understands and it is clear that he cares deeply for his family.
Blossom Snobeedle: NPC, Halfling. The matriarch and impressively canny leader of the Snobeedle family and Meadery. Blossom has a forceful personality and is protective of her kin and home. Her reaction to the odd events on the surrounding farms is pragmatic: recognizing when help is needed, applying for it to Brother Helmsing, and offering whatever is required in return. At first meeting at least, she seems to only grow more unflinching and matter-of-fact in the face of grief and loss.
Poppy Snobeedle: NPC, Halfling. The little daughter of Blossom and her late husband. Poppy follows her Mama like a silent and shy shadow. Thus far, she has remained impervious to our company’s attempts to reassure and befriend her. Well, she does like Pip…
Cathilda: NPC, Halfling. The harried and culinarily gifted servant of the Snobeedle clan. Cathilda is not given time for formal introductions but she nevertheless endears herself greatly to our company by providing delicious beverages and a truly mouth-watering supper.
Gallop: NPC, Dog. The least troubled and most drooly of the Snobeedle family, Gallop is a large, honey-colored mastiff. He is a loyal guardian of the inhabitants of the Meadery. Once any immediate threats are dealt with, he does love a nap.
